Ampcera has a growing IP portfolio of high-performance engineered solid electrolyte materials, revolutionary scalable manufacturing processes, and novel designs for solid-state batteries.
Ampcera is seeking a Battery Engineer with strong hands-on experience in laboratory environment and materials processing/handling.
Responsibilities
- Work with Battery Scientists to support solid-state battery development efforts.
- Formulate battery electrode materials and carry out cell assembly.
- Constant improvement of solid-state battery processes and design
- Screen/validate electrode composition formulation and battery performance.
- Work with battery testing equipment/software and data analysis.
- Communicate experimental results to the battery development team.
Requirements
- B.S. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related STEM fields.
- Capable of executing multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
- Meticulous, organized, and self-motivated.
- Clear communication skills.
- Acute safety awareness.
- Pass drug test and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with gloveboxes.
- Familiarity with solid electrolyte materials and electrochemistry.
- Experiences with any type of batteries
- Familiarity with XRD, SEM, EDS and EIS.
- Programming capability for data analysis
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with the assistance of lift equipment or cart.
- Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, masks, respirators, etc.
